So over the past 6 years, I've met some great people and had a lot of epic lols, however I think it's time to move on. The meaning of a few of my posts of late appears to have been misconstrued, and...

Re: MS ISA 2006 Problem

Do you use the diffserv config too?

Re: MS ISA 2006 Problem

Do you have the cache enabled in ISA? Otherwise it's going to be cacheing the file to memory first.
Additionally, does your ISA server pass requests to a thirdparty content filtering system...

Re: The cost of AvP on Steam - Greedy?

Well, Steam or no Steam, the game is shaping out to be epic.
only manage to play the SP for about 30mins, but really enjoying the narrative and the suspense. I figure if the multiplayer is even only...

Re: The Best Media Centre - Ever (Only 149.99 - I'm chuffed)

Got to say, I'm most impressed with this running on top of windows.
Had a pop with the Live CD, but it didn't like the ATi (2400Pro incase anyone cares) inside the Dell SFF box (Optiplex GX620) I've...

Free to good home - Saints Row 2 on Steam

So I picked up the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War - Chaos rising on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/20570), and it comes with a free copy of Saints Row 2 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/9480/)...

Re: WTF

No one is forcing people to take it. There is a certain amount of personal responsibility here. It's the same as taking cash out on a credit card...Anyone with half a brain knows that that is a...

Re: Taking shots in strong sunlight

Quite possibly on the Nikon, and I have some polaroid and similar filters for it, but the Olympus that I tend to take out to these kind of events is just a regular point & shoot, so it'd have to be...

Re: Windows 7

See if anyone you know has an MSDN subscription through work.
IIRC it's the evla access, but you get 10x copies of all the versions of Win7.

Re: 8800gtx how has it aged?

Got to say I'm in the same boat. Had my 8800 for almost 3 years now (I got mine in the states the week they came out as the Exchange rate at the time was most favourable). Mine is still going strong...

Re: Calling all racers

Anyone fancy a drive tomorrow?
If it can be mid-late evening (starting at 2000 perhaps?) I should be able to participate as well :)

Re: XP halp....drive gone RAW

TBH, I'd start with the TestDisk app, as chances are all that drive needs is it's partition table rewriting...takes all of about 30 seconds. If it does turn out to be that simple, you can tell him...

Is also worth a look.
EDIT: if you're running it under fista/7, make sure you execute the program as Administrator

Re: The Best Media Centre - Ever (Only 149.99 - I'm chuffed)

Is there an HCL for XBMC anywhere?
I really liked the look of the screenshots you posted, and it'll be a lot less effort than the Samsung thing we have, especially if it can play BR/DVD's natively

Re: IP phones

Quite possibly, the corporate IP phones (like the ones it sounds as if you have) are quite dumb, and require configuration info to be sent by the server.
Thus a parse error to me would imply that...

Re: The Best Media Centre - Ever (Only 149.99 - I'm chuffed)

Sweet...I'm just replacing a stack of machines at work (Optiplex 755's) which have a 'reasonable' ATi graphics chipset in them...was figuring they'd make for a reasonable media box. Can it handle...

Re: The Best Media Centre - Ever (Only 149.99 - I'm chuffed)

Is all the media stored locally on the box, or can it access network shares?
I ask, as I've got my media box which has a good few TB of storage in it (and is loud on account of all the drives/fans)...

Re: IP phones

Doing this from memory, as it's been a while since I used 2003 for DHCP.
Right click on the DHCP server (in the DHCP mmc snapin) and select 'set predefined options'
You should then be able to 'Add'...

Will your windows DHCP server be 2003 or 2008?

Re: IP phones

$10 says you only need to add option 150 to your DHCP scope with the IP address of your asterisk server to make it work :)

Re: IP phones

Personally, I'd advise against CUCM, as it's really not a friendly system to learn without guidance. That, and you'd only be able to get maybe 10 phones 'going' with it before you ran out of...
