Hi,
I've just registered from over at Hexus.. Been a member there for years. Not been to one of the LANs before but will be coming to this next one (providing the Hexus members are still welcome.)
Is there any news on when it's likely to be? Been checking this thread for months now

Hi Hoonigan
Sure, everyone is welcome to the LANs.
We are currently looking for a new venue (around the Midlands)
Unfortunately between Emsey and I we haven't had any Luck yet with finding a suitable venue to replace the last one.
We normally spend every Friday looking for and around venues, so what were try and do is keep you all updated every Friday.

Looks like they have a ton of venues, As long as they have a big room / faster internets and somewhere to kip, oh and no bar so we can bring booze

Could be pretty good. Whilst they have bars, they won't be licensed, so bringing your own alcohol shouldn't be a problem. You could probably set-up in the main sports hall and maybe use the bar area as the sleeping area? However, the chances are they are in seperate buildings. You might even be able to rent out a couple of dorms. At least you will have access to showers in the sports hall! The Internet connection will likely be crap though.

Out of that list, i'd say the Leicester army reserve centre for the sole reason that a googlemaps search of the postcode shows a restaurant called Big Wang
