Windows server 2003 shadowing

Ahoi hoi people, I know there are a few people on here that are also network admins and a such so i wounder if anyone has come across this same problem.

Basically windows 2k3 sp2 fully updates will not allow me to run drive shadowing. the drive in question is 1.1tb with 700gb ish free space. It just says error not enough storage available.

after some research online it seems the error is misleading and has nothing to do with not having the free space.

i wont go into any more detail about it as if anyone has had this error they will know exactly what I am talking about. Anyone had this error and managed to fix it ?
