Is Britains Got Talent & X Factor fixed?

http://fae.ro/docs/c8g-justpasteit.pdf

This would also explain why the girl from the midlands who plays the piano and sings was given such a rubbish song and started crying saying she didn't like or choose the song.

And also why the whole show has been full of rubbish this year compaired to other years

Hmm I dunno, it's something that's going to be really hard to prove. At the end of the day I watch BGT to see some really amazing talent however what annoys me most is the show is so drawn out, and as you say filled mostly with rubbish. I won't be around to watch the final tomorrow anyway but I hope Razy gets through to win it

Re: Is Britains Got Talent & X Factor fixed?

I've not watched it this year nor have paid any attention to BGT in previous years, I've only ever really followed it when there was a big story, such as S. Boyle.

Regardless of whether it's a fix or not, people will still watch it, still pay their money to vote and still put a hefty cheque of money into Simon C's bank account every month. What rumours are sent out nowadays are media affairs and publicity stunts that work very well. I mean, it's already got us talking on here imagine the other 1,000 of forums that will have people reading such a story and wondering who this Razy guy is - thus tuning in the next show to watch it.

As great as these shows are, I'm kinda sick of seeing the 12 year old singer who everyone loves and thinks they're great, the world is going to be overrun with Justin Beebos before we know it. Music industry is already failing with him in it, we need no more! NOOOO MOOOOORE!

Well that's your opinion Foxy and you're perfectly entitled to it

I don't like the commercialisation anymore than you but there is no denying there has been some genuine talent unearthed by these shows. Does this justify the means? Well all I know is next time I shall forget watching the shows and just see the best on Youtube instead

Oh yeh, I won't deny there isn't talent on these shows and it's a great way to offer it. But I'd much rather see BGT dedicated to talent that isn't about singing, one that makes people go "" at skills you'd otherwise never get to see. Listening to ten acts of 8-12 year olds singing the same song in their own "unique" monotone vocals which they'll probably loose 2 years down the line is becoming ultimately very samey. At least with the dance acts they're something different everytime and I'd imagine the Queen would appreciate something different than yet another singer with that classic tearful look in their eyes, wobbling chin and intro video of "If I win I'd give it all to my mom".

You Tube is the way forward for shows like these, it's why I will check out the viral videos but leave the boring ones for those who enjoy the hour long show.

Re: Is Britains Got Talent & X Factor fixed?

The thing that frustrates me is that the prize (at least for the singing shows) isn't a prize at all. I don't know how much everybody here knows about the music business, but a 1,000,000 record contract is not the same as receiving 1,000,000 at all. The only people who benefit from these shows are the people who are smart enough to get exposure from it and manage themselves, and the producers. I recall reading somewhere that the first winner of Pop Idol had to go back to a 9-5 job!

It's one of the reasons that Jade Goody, while an absolutely unstandable loudmouth, was actually one of the most intelligent reality TV stars we're ever likely to see; she milked it for every penny she could get.
