That musta taken about 12 hours a day practice for months 
Yeah I seen quake done quick before ed! Afaicr it was done in like 3 mins or less

yeah seen the q1 done quick.. its like 10 minutes or something on nightmare difficulty, through ALL 4 episodes... some insane stuff.
really impressive is that mario 3 vid.. especially the cannonball jumping near the end, uber skilz

That is pretty impressive not that much skill or adaptation though really, just played it loads and learned all parts of all the maps.

if ya dont think speed runs are skillfull, try some.. theyre really difficult and even with hours, days, weeks or months of repeated play, to do a long continuous run takes some mad skilz.
the quake one is probobly the best ive seen, followed by super metroid then this.
theyre far from unskilled anyway.

"Speed runs" might take a lot of skill, but they are still all done by geeks with far too much time on their hands.

I did notice as well it does take a lot of patience and pratice to master speed runs, and the fact it woulda took even longer to get the timing near enough perfect -so makes me wonder how much of his/her life was wasted. i did this on sonic, trying to achive the best times i could -then realised why the **** am i bothering an left it. but if they got the time let em do it -he obviously aint got a misses -so whta else he gonna do
