I can't report to ebay until 10 days after purchase, which is tomorrow.
I have contacted SanDisk who apart from confirming the item was counterfeit didn't really seem that bothered. Counterfeit cards are everywhere according to them, a huge problem. Had to contact them by phone in the end because you can only use their online system once you have registered a product. A bit hard to do when you have no serial number!
Thing with mine was it came in a genuine box with correct product code etc. but the card itself was fake and had a stratigically placed QC sticker over its dodgey product code.

Moral of this story is buy from an authorised sandisk dealer. That way you know your getting the real deal. Ebay at the moment is just a ****ing nightmare with all the fake goods on there.
There is slight differences in the packaging, I've got a PDF somewhere explaining the subtle differences between real and fake.
Remember - if it looks too cheap to be true. It probably is
PS - I've been stung once as well

Been contacted by Paypal saying I need to return the goods and provide tracking information before they can give me any money back which probably won't be the full amount.
The plus side is they had to give me the guys home address in hongkong. Guess I need to be forwarding that on to sandisk HK branch then "knock knock, hello sir have you been selling dodgy memory cards by any chance?"
