Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
Anyone using the SMP client may have discovered there client is not working anymore, this is because its expired (SMP client still in beta atm), to fix this simply download this file and put it in your folding folder as a drop in replacement.
The client should now work.

Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
Yep, they should code in a error message or something.
But for long time folders its not so much of a issue, as a general rule of you run the SMP client and it instantly closes when you click it then the client is out of date.
You running the GPU and SMP client? if so check out my guide to running them both

It crashes when I attempt to set the priority to low.
And cause my CPU is never idle it does sweet **** all on the SMP client.

Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
Quick bump to remind everyone (mainly the new members) why we run Folding @ Home, and as a forum of PC gamers with powerful CPU's and GPU's we should be higher up the ranks than we are

Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
How power hungry is this? Like, do you turn it off when you're using your computer for anything like gaming then just turn it on when idle?
Might as well do it.

Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
Updated main post with updated links to clients, removed old info that is no longer relevant and also removed GameOn references and replaced with GameGrin.
At some point ill merge the stats thread with this one so we have one point of call for Folding info.

Re: Folding @ Home a General guide
Is there a way to only receive smaller packets of work? Some of the ones they send through require days of connectivity and sometimes I literally cannot get them completed on time.
