Final Fantasy and Elder Scrolls make top 5 of Classical FM Hall of Fame

It was my mother who pointed me towards this: the Elder Scrolls made #5 and the Final Fantasy series #3. Seems to have caused a bit of a stir but it serves as a wake-up call to some of the oldies about the power of game music (and indeed social media).

Personally I'm a big fan of taking a break from mainstream music to listen to a game soundtrack, though this also evokes good memories of the game too. I was getting withdrawal symptoms of Mass Effect so got the OST on CD just yesterday

I approve of this. I have three Elder Scrolls soundtracks and countless FF ones, love them all. Particular favourite at the minute is the Distant Worlds collections. The Opera scene from FF6 has been on repeat a fair amount of times.
