Thumbs up New Features,

Most of you know this, but I'll post it here anyway.
New Mod Features:

1. Smoke Grenades now fully work, and they are volumetric, which means if it hits a wall, it'll roll round it and disperce, like in real life.

2. Players will now be able to have a logo, (similar in size to the halflife decal) on their player model's back. So people can wear clan logos, or their name on their back. This will make for easy player identification in the heat of the battle.

3. *Hopefully* fully intergrated voice comms, (server can turn it on or off). Which is realtime. IE, if a player is on the other side of the map, he wont hear you speak, but may hear you shout. It's volume related.

4. Seems a bit old now, but we should have menus, like the new TFC ones, that pop out. It saves the need for complex binding.

Just thorght I'd wet your appatites. I still need a good modler/animator, so if you are, or you know someone who is interested. Contact me.

is there an alpha version we could play on yet? Im interested in these volumetric smoke grenades.

Also I'd love to see the decal of the back of my fellow players.

Okay, the Logo thing aint done yet, it's being worked on. Greades aint bad, should have tear gas as well.
Erm, it still is crap becuase we dont have many weapons, I am looking for a modler.

Erm, I attempted blurring the rifle, and I sorta get a darkened blurred view, which will do.

Helta is trying to do Counter-strike but with the quake 3 engine.
I don't know how many ppl he has working on it, but he needs help so if anyone on your little island way down south has any modeling experience, give him a shout.

Me and TSS were talking about gas last night whilst watching the negotiator.
(proper terrorist/hostage scenario)
They were using grenade launchers to lob the tear gas grenades in. Also the vests they were wearing had up to 6 flashbangs on them.
Naturally the swat team had gas-masks on them.
But you could have it as an element to the game. Tear gass promotes similar effects to the hypnogrenade from TF Spy class.
Unles you have bought a gass mask. Then the tear gass will act as a normal smoke grenades.
(hehehe more hard coding for you )

strange how these terrorists in CS never give you any demands do they?

You never hear the Counter-terrorists sceam throw down your guns or we will shoot you.
(hmmm add in a jail-break situation as the terrorist get shot they get captured. A small armoured Van were they get escorted to, and you can spring them. The CT will become an extra hostage.

but you can get money bonuses for terrorists that surrender

Hmm, the terrorist who surrenders forfiets the team bonus money they would get if they win or loose to pay as
bail to get out of prison for the next round.
And you get your old gun back as well.
(otherwise there would be no point of doing it)
The counter terrorist get a bonus for taking you alive (more incentive not to rush in killing everything in sight).
